Upgrade Fedora

Posted on Sun 01 May 2011 in Linux

Today my workstation asked me to update from Fedora 13 to Fedora 14. Fedora Logo

Because I didn't need it and the data on it are not important for me for the next few days I started the upgrade and monitored it beside I was working on my Mac Book.

The workstation is configured to run some virutal machines KVM has an bridged network interface to allow the direct connection for the VM's to the network. I accepted the upgrade and the procedure finished successful and without bigger side effects. One thing I had to fix was the tor configuration. I updated my tutorial about installing tor on Fedora with the necessary steps.

I will not give a step by step tutorial for upgrading Fedora manually because it's so simple and well documented here. Three commands and your done with the upgrade from Fedora 13 to 14. Please always check your backup before upgrading your operation system.
